Exaggeration

Me and Leevi had a top class trip to Helsinki metropolitan area! We had four objectives:
- to buy a printer
- to log the 366 Challenge - one cache a day geocache
- to smell the sea at Merisatama
- se see Ai Weiwei's exhibition in the Galerie Forsblom

All targets were met!

Chinese Ai Weiwei is one of the most famous contemporary artists alive today. He uses a variety of mediums and materials in his art. The work in the picture is called Grapes (2015), it's made of 18 antique wooden stools - no nails has been used. I liked the massive monster kites that were fashioned out of silk paper and bamboo. The exhibition also featured a selection of works from his Colored Vases series, in which he has defaced precious Neolithic Han Dynasty urns with industrial paint. Aamulehti wrote : if you are into crafts, politics, technology or architecture, this exhibition is a right place for you to learn more.
