Common Spotted Orchid

I have been meaning to take a look at a spot where the common spotted orchid grows, but the wet weather had put me off up until now. The flowers are probably a week past their best but despite that are still looking good.

They grow in a disused lime works near to Calke Abbey, and that gives scope for a variety of backgrounds. The one I have chosen used the 'walls' of limestone that are left from the workings, long discoloured with dark stains. I have uploaded a few more images here
