Tombolo!

Did you know that a double sided beach joining 2 bits of land is called a tombolo (from the Italian, meaning 'tombolo').

This one joins the tiny island of Tom to Carnish, Uig ,Isle of Lewis. Today continued the sunny coldwave here in the Hebrides. Here, if you want sunshine , it may come with a NNE wind straight from the pole which means a chilly wind.
