Old days

The day revolved around a meeting in Edinburgh to meet some folks from America who wished to add to their understanding of our college system.  they said I was very helpful.  It's good to be helpful.

We met in a cafe off where the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary used to be.  Much of it has been 'repurposed' into smart flats and many of these have glorious views across that wonderful green space, the Meadows.  It is such a treasure.  It was were I escaped from study during my students days quite some time ago,

Other parts of the site have been rebuilt into modern blocks.  Office blocks. Apartment blocks.  Hotel blocks.  Fitness blocks.  Exterior cladding were various shades of blue/grey.  Pedestrian areas were were similarly coloured reflecting the panels above.  It didn't look at all bad.

The blip is of the old A&E dept.  It has yet to receive attention.
