After the Services

Shot in the park surrounding the crematorium in Spijkenisse after Anneke's cremation services.  Her goodbye song was the one I would also like for myself -- Into the West from The Lord of the Rings III - Return of the King, sung by none other than the great Annie Lennox.  She beat me to it!  Sail on, sail on, Anneke ...

And afterwards, our group joined the other mourners at the Carlton Oasis Hotel for a bite and a toast.  None of us returned to work, of course.  Services like this are exhausting in their own way.  I still cannot believe how quickly she went away.  All the more reason to clamp one's teeth onto life and enjoy it while one can.  Now is what we have.  Now is what we know, and even that is but a small fraction.
