Turkish Delightful Butterflies

We walked up the cliff path behind Kas this morning to the wonderful red soil plateau behind. There were so many butterflies: brimstones like this one, hairstreaks, blues, swallowtails, and a mysterious one which I am trying to identify. The local goatherd and his wife (see extra) were very welcoming and asked me to take their photographs. These wonderfully resilient people don't take from the planet like we do, they have lives adapted, like their goats, to this dry and hot climate. I have tried to give a flavour of this walk on Flickr, https://www.flickr.com/photos/hilarysview/ We do this walk every time we come here but today it was exceptionally beautiful.

Thanks for all your encouraging comments, stars and hearts even though I am on blip comment holiday at the moment!
