Phacelia

Last day of work for a fortnight and as fast as I emptied my inbox, it just kept filling up again! Don't people know I'm off on holiday?!!!!

Finally closed the laptop and went for a quick drive before my husband got home. For the past week, I have been passing a field on the M62 that is full of purple/blue flowers, that I thought might have been thistles. And as it looked so pretty from the motorway, I went in search of said field.
Turned out that they weren't thistles at all. But Mr Google came to the rescue again - they look like they are some variety of  Phacelia. Never heard of it myself, but they were very pretty and a there was a whole field full!
