Sleeping beauty

After our breakfast and a seat in the sun the afternoon was spent wandering around and inside Palma Cathedral. Building started in 1306 and it took three hundred years to complete. Fortunately it didn't need that length of time for us to see what was inside. In 1904 good old Antonio Gaudi got involved with reconfiguring the interior space and it only took him 14 years to finish it. A quick DIY job in comparison to his Sagrada Familia project in Barcelona.

This reclining lady is to be found in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Crown of Thorns – one of twenty chapels in the catherdral. The extras show some of the windows in the catherdral, a man and his two dog zimmer and of course icons of Spain's other religion – football.
