Little weed

This looks like the skeleton of an animal but it is actually of a seaweed, the very aptly named Coral Weed Corallina officinalis. Since this is a back blip I already know I found the live version the following day !

Today's star bird was the Linnet (extra photo) as they accompanied me pretty much all the way, flitting about and trilling prettily  I love those wee birds.

While poking about on the beach I experienced a very strange eerie feeling. It wasn't scary, just strange. I am not a particularly fanciful person but it was almost as if I could feel the millions of years that had gone into making the beach. Does that make sense?  No?  Oh okay..
