89 Years Young

89 years old young and still running is this streetcar - nowadays it can be rented for special events. The two wagons hold 58 people; it is 27,53 meters long and retired in 1974. Actually it is called a "Salonwagen", a saloon car.

It was our annual work's outing and we had a 4 1/2 hour round trip in the streetcar - from Mannheim via Weinheim to Heidelberg and back. It was a lot of fun. No speed limit violations for sure.

The other half of the day was filled with too much food. The day was perfectly organized by my colleagues from Ludwigshafen.
