Parade

Today's the town's gala day, kicked off by the parade. I watched it with just Miss L, Miss K having headed off to the park with her pals. It was the usual colourful occasion, led by the "Hunter and Lass" and including the hairdressers "Headcases" who always win the costume prize for the Wednesday evening pram race. And, as per tradition, the town's greatest "character" brings up the rear. [See extras]

The lady cyclists have a much easier stage today: 46km from Hexham to Durham where they will be staying with good friends of ours. I will join them with various supplies and technical support.
