Mid morning treat

The day started with haze and little visibility but the sun quickly burnt though to leave a warm sunny but still misty day.  We headed to the beach early in the morning to see if the fishermen had any fish for sale. They were and we watched as one of them threw the spider crabs back in the sea to the delight of the various seabirds around.  The fisherman had watched a man swimming with what he assumed were two dogs earlier this morning and was then asked by the swimmer if he had seen the seal swimming with them.  One of the dogs was in fact a seal.

We headed home with a large piece of Rock salmon for tea and then went for a stroll around Topsham.  You could just make out the sounds of music from the Radio 1 Big Weekend event on across the Exe estuary. A good weekend for it.

Now to cook the fish.
