out in the meadow

A super summer's day.
The girl took me and Freddie out for brunch in Budd's.  We had great chats with an old friend we bumped into.

I spent lots of time wandering about my own three acres. No primping and preening here, just mounting wildness. It thrives on neglect. Established trees and shrubs rise above and everywhere else wildflowers take over, drifts of herb robert, swathes of wild garlic colonising under the trees, a sea of narrow-leaf plantain flowers...
I was amazed by the growth on everything and realised just how distracted I have been !

We planted some trees that had been waiting a while, and resolved to plant more.
