Etched glass

Our holiday started with a journey to visit friends who live near Yeovil. It is always a delight to travel westwards down the glorious A303 through the Wiltshire downs and past Stonehenge.
Our friends took us to a delightful church in deep countryside near Dorchester, in Moreton. This remote church had been bombed in 1941 and when it was rebuilt the windows were replaced with clear glass, each window beautifully etched to designs by Lawrence Whistler. It was quite breathtaking and we spent a long time drinking in the beauty of the place
