Time for action

This is the former St Paul's Church, which has been rotting in the centre of Perth since 1988. Work to exclude pigeons was supposed to be done a couple of years ago - clearly it wasn't adequate. Scaffolding surrounds the building to protect pedestrians from falling masonry.

I don't know who I blame more - a succession of owners who probably gamble the building will fall down to release valuable land; the council for a lack of effective action against the owners; or Historic Scotland who doggedly list buildings long past the point of no return.

This is my entry for Derelict Sunday, kindly hosted by Marlieske.
