Before the rain

Twice last week I had said goodbye to my garden with its lilies and peonies etc as they had announced heavy thunderstorms with hail. But our place had been lucky. But yesterday everything was different. They had again said we'd have to expect thunder and really heavy rain. But what we got was more than that. In our place a small stream flooded the streets, our gardens and filled the centre of the park. It was bad enough and as expected part of my garden is destroyed. But we were really lucky. In our places like Künzelsau, our county town, the Main Street with its shops was destroyed, small streams had become torrents.
