Victorian bricks

These ornate bricks are part of a wall enclosing a Victorian house a few properties away from my home

The walls indicate that this was a very special house

It still is, but like many large houses around here it has been converted into apartments

My own home is part of a Victorian building but, sadly, we don't have any beautiful bricks

House prices here are so ridiculous that I despair of the next generation being able to get on the housing ladder
