Tiny Tuesday- prickles

This is a bit of an experiment.  Today I have taken a picture of the top of the cactus using the 14-42 lens that came with the new camera . It's OK but not crystal clear.  Tomorrow I am going back to Jessops to buy a macro lens to see if it makes a difference.  Hope I am not wasting my money.

The cactus was very tiny (maybe 3cms) when I bought it when the boys were tiny. They are no longer tiny and nor is the cactus. Its about 25cms high now.
