First touch of Malawi

30th May 2016:

These 12 volunteers are from MIC Teacher Training College coming for four weeks to do an internship with Wells for Zoe as part of their course.
We left Dublin at 7.30 pm yesterday and spent the two hours before this pic queueing to pay 75 dollars each to enter the country (to work with the most poorly trained, poorly paid teachers) anywhere.

This was Welcome to Malawi time (once called the warm heart of Africa).
Maybe it needs to be renamed!!

After this we had a 5 hour drive North and arrived around 9pm

All feeling and excited about tomorrow
