On the River Teviot

Another glorious day!   We were out walking with the club.  The coach took us to Harestanes, in the Scottish Borders, near Jedburgh and we had a break in the Visitor Centre there (great scones) before starting our walk.

We walked along the River Teviot  which meandered through beautiful woodland, crossing by the pedestrian suspension bridge near Nisbet (that was fun, quite scary in the middle as it really shook)......

We finished walking still along the river for almost nine miles,  towards Roxburgh where our coach was waiting for us.  Saw the heron near the end of our walk, quite far away so I had to zoom in.

We then went to the Buccleuch Arms outside Jedburgh for a social hour, where we had drinks, coffee, etc.

A super day out, with great company.
