Blue on white

What a strange day.  We hardly had any sleep last night (for reasons that will become clear in Technophobe's blip) and today has been punctuated by a succession of phone calls and workmen coming to look at our kitchen worktop problem.

This delphinium flower looked nice on the said worktop.  

We have decided that the crooked worktop problem is caused by a crooked wall and although the worktop suppliers said they could modify it there would have been a lot of mess and upset so we went for the alternative option of adjusting the splashback (which hasn't yet arrived) so that the wall looks straight.  I think it will work - we shall see.
