Arbutus Tree.

I had never seen this tree before...it is so stunning!   i loved the idea that this tree sheds it's bark as protection against infestations....so clever!

The extra is the view from the house i rented, on Airbnb, for the week i was in Victoria.  It was a wonderful house, and the woman who lived there ended up having to leave for the week so Bronwyn just moved in with me and we had the best visits ever!  A 5 minute walk down this hill took you to the beach!
