Snake in the grass

Down to Alnwick after work to tackle the supermarket shop.

Stopped off at the lakes near Powburn on the way for a short walk with Louie. Lots of birds with their young swimming the lake - including a pair of swans with four beautiful, fluffy cygnets. MrM spotted this adder curled up in the grass close to the path - thankfully Louie hadn't disturbed it.

As usual, the trip to Alnwick involved a trip to Carlo's, the fish & chip shop, but we didn't have time for a walk on the beach this time...
