End of Life

We mark the passing of Muhammad Ali. He was more than the sum of his athletic gifts. Ali had an agile mind, a buoyant personality, a brash self-confidence and  personal convictions. 

Ali had a magnetism that the ring could not contain. From 1,000 memorable quotes, my favorite is, “I don’t have to be who you want me to be; I’m free to be who I want.”

I saw him once.
