Stanley Robertson & Frankie McLean DVD Cover

Stanley Robertson (1940-2009) was a weel-kent Scots storyteller. We took two of his stories held in the School of Scottish Studies Archives, University of Edinburgh, and had them translated into British Sign Language (BSL) for the BSL:UPTAKE project at Heriot-Watt University, by Frankie McLean, a Deaf translator. This is the first creative collaboration of its kind between two of the languages of Scotland.
