Turning a Bowl. (Sycamore.)

Have been in the workshop today to start on the commission I was given when I spent a week at LPH, by The Manageress Deb.
This is the bottom side of the bowl, turned, sanded down, textured and the sealed and polished. You can see the texture 'rings' on the very bottom and also the side of the bowl.
You have to do this before turning it around to turn out the wood to form the actual bowl. Once the bowl is turned to the depth required, in this case about  2- 3 inches. I will be treating with a food preservative oil so it can only be used for that purpose.
There is a lot more to do yet and will blip the finished item in due course.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Take care.
