Incoming!

I'm leading the walking group's walk on Monday so did the recce this afternoon. It was very hot as I walked along the Montgomery Canal and there were lots of flowers, insects and birds around. It was lovely to see curlews in a newly cut field and a willow warbler dashing out of a tree, grabbing an insect then back into the tree.

Here are a pair of common blue damselflies mating when an interloper came dashing along. I'm pleased to report that he didn't interfere with the happy couple!
