On Friday I cleaned the windows looking on to the balcony.
Just as well, as this has been my view all day.

Wild weather has been battering the east coast and has not yet subsided.
The wind and rain were so severe last night, that I found it impossible to sleep. Aside from the noise it's just very unsettling, especially when there's a background sound of sirens.

Have just heard that evacuation has been ordered in several flood affected areas of Sydney.
