Moorhens

I took a walk around the lake this morning. The sun was shining, and its still relatively quiet, particularly at the sheltered top of the lake, where the baby birds are. The moorhen chicks have grown remarkably quickly, but this one was still being fed by Mum, who was diving down, grabbing food, and then feeding it to the chick. The other was independently getting food itself.
