Going Berserk

Went to the Lewis Chessmen exhibition in Lerwick, Shetland Isles last year and really enjoyed it. Ross bought me this handy berserker figure, which sits on my desk at work (until I leave next Tuesday!). The Viking berserker warriors were said to get themselves into a frenzied state before going into battle, foaming at the mouth and biting their shields. This ferocity was intended to terrify and overcome their opponents.
