Reach for the Sky

Lovely sunny day again and too hot at times for me, so I had to retreat to the shade:-)  Spent a lot of time in the garden cutting back plants which have taken off.  Probably ruined their chances of flowering next year, but they do look so much neater!

This is a huge fir tree which just keeps growing.  No idea what variety it is, but it does look rather splendid in the late spring with all its new cones.
