Catching the Light

A lazy day after our nocturnal journey.  After the rain here last week Boy did the grass need cutting!  Much of the garden has sprung to life during our weeks away although no all of it welcome.  A white flowered form of Geranium pyrenaicum, given to me by a friend, has erupted into a mass of white flowers.  Very pretty as a foil to the more voluptuous irises which rise above it, the problem is that it will spawn a multitude of weedlings if I do not remove the plants before the seed is ripe.

The pulsatillas are looking great as the seedheads ripen.

Happily the coffee table Jacinta made in Wales travelled home safely and it looks well between our chairs in the Summer House where I am writing these notes :-)
