Mixed emotions . . .

Watched with amazement as this butterfly emerged from its winter pupa on the frame of the sun room window.  Incredible to see what had been a dry looking case become a fully formed butterfly, but then I realised it was a cabbage white and would be making a bee line (butterfly line?) for my brassicas!  

Spent most of the day in the kitchen baking for tomorrow's Marengo garden plant sale and cream teas.  Mike has a busy day tomorrow too . . .
