Today we took a trip down to Cambridge for a short holiday in a cottage.

After arriving, we went out to Tesco to find some dinner and then returned to the cottage to start cooking.  Unfortunately we couldn't work out how to turn the oven on.  After texting the cottage owner, we noticed a plug that wasn't plugged in and discovered that the entire oven was powered with a normal 13 amp plug.  The "Cooker" switch in the cupboard only controlled the hob.  We textured back to say we'd sorted it and cooked our dinner.  We decided to eat outside in the lovely evening air and whilst eating the owner's daughter in law came over to check all was ok.  Lovely!

After dinner we had a wander around a local nature reserve in the fading light - the walk back through the trees was quite gloomy on the way back!
