Rush hour, high season, Uig Bay

This snap is rather unusual for a number of reasons. It was taken at 8am and shows that we have cleared up after the wedding (stress, stress, stress) we did at the weekend. Unusual because there is not a cloud in the sky, very little wind but just enough to prevent any midges from rising. The day almost reached 80 in old money. Would have been calm enough to get out in the pedallo if I had been bright eyed etc at 8am.

The builders, who had arrived16 months late, with a cherry picker, to paint the ancient pile, sent me to the village shop to buy sunscreen, Malteezer ice creams and cold beer ! It was not their fault they were so late. Last year there was not a single sunny day in Western Lewis.
