Obidos, Portugal

Today we took a trip to a small medieval town called Obidos, around an hour from Lisbon. It was a gorgeous little town with a castle, which is now an exclusive 9 roomed hotel, lovely little streets and cafes, an old aqueduct and the whole town was inside walls, so was quite quaint.

We spent the morning in Obidos and then headed into Lisbon town centre for a short walk around in the afternoon. It was VERY hot so we didn’t hang around too long before heading back to our beautiful air conditioned ship!

Still loving our cruise and we’ve met some really interesting people. Two days at sea now before our next stop in Honfleur, France. Before that we have the little matter of the Bay of Biscay to cross – it’s supposed to be fairly rough, but we never get seasick, and actually find it quite exciting. But let’s wait and see…….
