DÉLUGE!

It's been threatening for a while. Yesterday was hot & heavy. The sky seemed to have indigestion - much rumble-grumbling, but only a few drops of rain fell...

Five-thirty this afternoon all went dark & all of a sudden it thundered with a vengeance - first these enormous hailstones machine-gunned our skylights - then the deluge & Av. de la Couronne became a river...

Within five minutes the little courtyard was flooding & threatening to inundate the workshop. CC (extra), bless him stripped down & eventually extricated a plastic flower pot witch had floated into the drain & effectively blocked it!

Weird - I had left all my windows open & was expecting to come home to a disaster only to find our garden quite dry & it's only about three miles away from CC's
