Feathered Frenzy

I'm hosting a lunch for about a dozen ladies tomorrow (and morning tea). Have been rather busy today, all but done now, and off to book club tonight.  So what isn't done will have to be done before 10 am in the morning.
We are extending our craft morning into lunch to make a special farewell for Gracie who is 89 and the oldest member of our districts craft group. She is leaving her beloved home and moving down to Cromwell into a retirement complex.  Her daughter lives in Wanaka, the idea being she is much closer to her.  Dear Gracie, she really wanted to see out her days in her home here but her health has really warranted this move.

Abstract Thursday came in handy tonight.....this is the fluffy end to a tiny feather, sitting on some wrapping paper.  Used the 50mm with a couple of extension tubes. Theme is "the big picture". Well I suppose (at a stretch) I could make this a big picture and put it on a wall?.

Got my Blurb book of the West Coast Fungi Foraging finally this morning, it took 2 weeks to arrive which is much longer than all the others have taken.  Still, taking into consideration Queens Birthday long weekend I guess thats OK.  Pleased with it.
