Apollo 15 Landing Site

After what seems like an age, I finally got out with my telescope for a wee while tonight. This isn't the best shot I've taken of the moon but it had to be my blip for today as I'm so glad to see old Luna again after all the horrible weather we've had recently. This shot shows the Montes Appenninus, a mountain range on the edge of the Mare Imbrium. This range leads the eye to the Hadley Rille where Apollo 15 landed. This mission was the first mission to use the Lunar Rover.

Sorry about the quality of the shot, the moon was very low in the sky and the seeing was terrible.
