The second half of life..

Visual pollution

The day began as grey but dry and continued as grey and dry right up until last period of the day - the time I was taking one of my classes out to the hockey turf.  Just one or two spots began to fall as we gathered before leaving - enough to hint at a wet time ahead.

They walked to the turf.  I drove with a few of them as passengers.  By the time we arrived (about a 3-4 minute drive) the rain was falling.

By the time they were organised and ready to play, it was raining hard.

After 10 minutes of play, it was hosing down.

Character building stuff :)

We did have a laugh - well, most of us.  There were one or two who weren't laughing :(  A few phone calls to parents to pick them up and a couple of trips back and forth for my car and they were safely back at school and heading home.

Amazingly, by the time I returned to school the second time the rain had all but stopped, the sky was clearning and there were even a couple of rainbows.

This view was across the bay on the way home.  Clouds easing their anger but the steam from the local MDF plant making things look a lot worse than it actually was by then.

Hope the weekend is a bit drier.
