Sketchbook #38: #Endeavour Morse by @davestokes

It's not uncommon for illustrators to have open calls for commission sketches, often tied to appearances at conventions. When artist Dave Stokes announced an opportunity, I challenged him to capture the spirit of 1960s Detective Constable Endeavour Morse for me - and this is the result.

Before anyone grumbles about it not being a perfect likeness, I will pre-emptively say don't be daft. Likenesses are hard to capture, and especially so in the context of a full-length figure like this one!

But it is a pity about that license plate number... ;-)
