'Sarfend'

Took a sneaky afternoon off today for a trip to Southend-on-Sea, or 'Sarfend' as locals say it. It was a bit of a mission with my friend Linda, who was a huge Biba fashion fan in her youth, and wanted to see the Biba exhibition currently on in the local museum.

It was an enjoyable trip down memory lane, and a fun outing, with a fish'n'chips lunch - naturally - Rossi ice cream cones for dessert, and a stroll along the prom in the sunshine.

These children were having a great time playing in the pavement fountains.
