Worshipping art ...

This may look like another church interior but is in fact the Grand Hall of the National Portrait Gallery, just along the road from where the Synod was still in session. The murals are by Phoebe Traquair and the peaceful galleries were a perfect antidote to the ongoing changes to Canon Law.

At least today the SEC moved one step closer to authorising same-sex church marriage, despite the desire of some present to talk the motion to death (or was that just my impression?). But the ballot took place and the reformers won. I was at once glad and dispirited - there is still much to do.
