Camping!

There's something weird about my mum that you should know! Lots of women in this world are into shoes. That's their thing. Not my mum. And she's not really that much into jewelry or perfume. Or exotic holidays in fancy hotels. Not at all. But what she DOES get excited about is TENTS!! And camping gear! Which is a good thing because we LOVE camping!

Mum recently bought a NEW tent! This one is supposed to be super easy to put up. It's not a 'pop-up' tent (which are a nightmare to take back down). But the tent poles are already attached so there's no fumbling around with those silly things. The words on the box said that this tent can be put up in ONE minute!!

So Mum said to me this afternoon:

"We better try out that new tent, Dolly! Let's see if I can really put it up in 1 minute! And let's do some pretend camping in the garden!"

Woo-Hoo!! Camping!!!

I timed Mum! It took longer than 1 minute, but not much longer. Once she does it a couple of times I think she'll be able to do it in about 5 minutes.

When it was all done, she got the stove and kettle out and we had our afternoon tea and cake outside - just like at the campsite. What a happy afternoon!

So Mum! When are we going on a REAL camping trip?
