Orkney day 14: kilt!

Slightly warmer, bright and breezy we did a delightful walk through bluebell woods on towards a bird sanctuary. On our way we passed a rural scrapyard - mostly vehicles including a hearse! We went on towards Skara Brae, this time to walk around the cliffs and to find the holed rock. Skara was heaving but we passed through and out into the wilderness. The beach below was looking absolutely incredible - just look at those colours.

Later we met up with Porridge, HappyValley, Gitama and Sleepyhead  in their secret spot to satisy Gitama's lust for bluebells. And, by popular request,  Porridge wore his kilt!!! Three of us were pretty impressed by this!! It's Sinclair tartan since you ask, pronounced somewhere in the lines of Sncla - hope that's correct P! We then all repaired to the Ferry Inn where a large farewell supper was consumed.
