Sky and flowers

It had  been such a gloomy day - should we even bother going out? But when we headed seven miles down the road, there was a hint of sunshine, and the wild flowers were brilliant beside the road and everything suddenly seemed much cheerier. 

My extra photo is one I took within 5 minutes of leaving the car, because I love the clover and the little yellow jobs I grew up calling "Hens and Chickens", but the main image is of the bigger picture, so to speak, with the thicker cloud to the north over Dunoon and the big bright field contrasting with the grey layers.

It's always worth going out, really ...
