Wawel

Our first full day in Krakow turned out to be a lovely one weatherise.  We started with a walk up to Wawel Castle and Cathedral which are the two buildings you can see here.  Some of the main sections of the castle were closed today so we have booked to go back to see those on Wednesday.  They have a system where you have to pay separately for parts of the castle which was a bit confusing and we ended up going back to the Ticket Office a couple of times as we found different parts we wanted to visit.  It was very busy but there seemed to be plenty of facilities and certainly lots to see.

After that, we did what we usually do when first in a New City - we wandered the streets just looking around us and seeing what else me might want to go back to another day...  We did visit Oskar Schindler's Factory as that was a very long walk and we didn't think we would want to walk all that way again!  The exhibition in there was very informative.  Then we wandered around the Jewish Quarter before finding cream cake and happy hour!

Off to find some dinner shortly...
