Skinningrove Artwork saves the block!

This concrete panel once was part of the breakwater in the distance and has been rescued after considerable rebuilding and reinforcing work.
To understand the meaning you need to know the history of the village, that was an iron mining one, often hidden in smoke, and with the  stream that ran through the village bright orange with iron and heavy metal pollution leaking from the mine.
Hence the ironic humour of the figure in the space suit with a beach ball who has brought his own supply of  pure sea air.
