Lunchtime Venue

Had a great lunch today (Steamed Fresh Mussels in a Cider, Leek and Bacon cream sauce - and a few chips) with four of my ex-colleagues (all now retired) at the Cholmondeley Arms in Cheshire.
It's a former Victorian village schoolhouse on Lord Cholmondeley’s estate. The school dates back to 1862. The schoolhouse was converted in 1988 and was the first public house on the estate for over a century!
Its other 'claim to fame' is that it offers over 300 different Gins......I kept to Guinness :-)
