I finally tracked a bicycle on gumtree and managed to head over late this afternoon to Bishopbriggs to purchase it from a nice gentleman called Neil. Arriving at his house with Amélie & Joni in the car I could tell he was reluctant to sell this great looking touring bicycle. We began to talk about bikes and travelling - turns out he was 'asked by his wife' to sell one of the bikes and he put this bike on as well as a mountain bike - thinking that the mountain bike would most definitely sell first - not the case!

This bike has been all over the world, from Mull to Canada he has toured with it. You don't get that history with your new fangled machines from halfords. . I assured him Id look after it.

Enjoying the Olympics opening ceremony and have three women baking in the kitchen, this could be a very good evening if i get the tasting responsibility.
